Best Practices and Teaching Cases on SocialPolicy Management (Regional)
This is a proposal to improve social policy managers’ skills in Latin America by disseminating lessons learned from the best social practices and by designing relevant teaching cases on strategic social management issues, using IDRC and IADB archive information on significant social management projects.  The general objectiveof this project is to improve the management capacities of social policy makers and social managers in Latin America by learning from best practices and teaching cases, using research supported by IDRC and IADB.  Specific objectives will be to select significant experiences and best practices from IDRC and IADB archives on social management projectsimplemented in Latin America; to frame the selected significant experiencesas best practices and/or teaching cases; to create a set of ten bestpractices cases on policy management in Latin America; to translatefour cases of best practice into teaching cases; to assess and to disseminateteaching cases and best practices through INDES courses for social policymanagers from Latin America; and, to publish case studies on best practicesthrough INDES  working paper series.
